Ruda Studio and Blackwood Atelier meet at the intersection of object and fashion design, where two distinct disciplines become one language. The collaboration explores the strength of this encounter — the moment one practice transforms the other, and a new object emerges between them.
At its core is a journey through myth and the self. Drawing from Ukrainian folklore and its intimate connection with nature, the collection unfolds across three realms: the earthly, the subterranean, and the celestial. Each is inhabited by a feminine mythological being — a manifestation of a different world, and a different dimension of the self.

ANIMA COLLECTION
The collection comprises three sculptural bags — MAVKA, POVITRULIA, and VODIANYTSIA. Each embodying a different realm of Ukrainian mythology. Completing the collection is ANIMA COLLECTIBLE BOX that brings the three beings together in one symbolic object.
MAVKA
MAVKA belongs to the earthly realm. A spirit of the forest, she embodies the wild nature within us. She is about the courage to enter the depths of the forest and find your own path. About choosing your way, being honest with yourself, and meeting your fears. About feeling your body, staying grounded, and trusting your instincts.
VODIANYTSIA
VODIANYTSIA is a water spirit and an embodiment of the underworld. She speaks of the subconscious and of depth — of choosing to go beneath the surface and meet what cannot be seen. She brings what is hidden beneath the surface into awareness and embodies fluidity and acceptance.
POVITRULIA
POVITRULIA is a female mythological figure of the wind and the mountains. She embodies freedom and changeability — a spirit of the open sky, lightness, movement, and will. Povitrulia reminds us of the natural desire to remain free, whatever the circumstances. She is the dance of the wind.
COLLECTIBLE BOX ANIMA
The box is hand-inlaid with dyed rye straw, a traditional marquetry technique valued for its exceptional craftsmanship, creating a unique narrative composition. Resembling a small forest dwelling, it stands on legs made of solid brass — a sculptural vessel for precious memories and personal treasures.
